SHOCK TROOPAS ALBUM & CASSETTE COVER
This album cover was created by Taylor Pulsipher for a low-fi punk album called "Muscle Cars & American Gurls" by the musician SHOCK TROOPAS in 2020. Leaning heavily into grunge and basement punk aesthetics, the finished piece was created to look like a cut-and-paste collage. The images come from photos of items around the musician's home as well as some Creative Commons sourced photographs. The background was created in Procreate to look like grid paper and a marker drawing of a checkerboard. A small run of cassette tapes were printed as well as a digital album that included a photo of the finalized cassette for the album cover.
